We had a fantastic Saturday for the girls. They went to bed so happy for the day. Nothing really special but we all enjoyed the outings.
We started with golf lessons for the girls. When I saw Sofia swinging, it made me want to get back to golf too. Maybe soon π

the girls did their kumon while waiting for their turn, and I read my book. Such a nice way to start the day outdoor facing greens.

then we went to a mall wanting to buy air purifier (but out of stock), so girls had lunch. Sofia had her first ever subway, garlic bread with meatballs. Subway is special for us because daddy worked there when he went to college in Canada. The verdict? nice but not enough cheese

Lizzy had her favorites: shrimp and chicken dumplings.

it was Saturday so ice cream time! They both had mixue, the chinese brand ice cream that is 0.5USD and big big cone ice cream. love it.

Lizzy had her piano lesson in the afternoon. She confirmed that she likes the teacher because she is very kind and patient. GOOD GOOD! Maybe I’ll hold the trial out for later.
Sofia’s friend came over, they played at the pool for a while until Lizzy finished her class. Then we made lemonade and popcorn to watch Tall Girl 2 at our building mini cinema. It was so special. They packed all their snacks, blankets, and stuffed toys to go to the private cinema.
Meanwhile, I watched 1.5 episodes of And Just Like That season 2. To be honest, I am a bit disappointed. Maybe I should give it few more episodes.
Sofia’s friend left 6:30pm. We chat about their playdate, then quick dinner, evening routine. I went to bed super early although I wasn’t sleepy because I have a big run the next day.
I am really glad that the girls had a wonderful day. It made my heart smile when I saw their big smiles.
What a fun day. I’m so glad the piano teacher situation looks like it will work out!
So many special adventures.
And I LOVE Subway. It’s one of my favourite places to eat out for “fast food” π

I haven’t watched “And Just Like That.” I was a HUGE SATC fan but I have heard mixed reviews about this reboot. If I had HBO I would probably check it out but we don’t…
OMG a $0.50 ice cream cone. Wow. That is a STEAL. You had asked about DQ cakes in my post – yes they are ice cream and they are so good! It’s a layer of vanilla on top, then chocolate ice cream with this layer we call “fudge crunchies.” I got them as a kid some birthdays even though my birthday is in February and it was horribly cold outside. Phil had LOTS of DQ bday cakes since he has a summer birthday.
