- I had to do a tempo workout on the treadmill because PM2.5 was 166. I literally stepped out, felt my gut telling me that I shouldn’t be running outdoor today, and went back to the gym. It is NOT fun to run fast on the treadmill. But I was BRAVE to get it done. I don’t think I’ve ever sweat that much on a air conditioned room

2. A colleague friend of mine was in a difficult decision point. I shared my points of view, if I was in his place and with what I know now (8 years longer in the institution than him). During dinner time, he texted me to let me know that he is turning down an offer that doesn’t excite him. “YOU ARE SO BRAVE”.
3. I casually asked Sofia about the girls’ drama situation. I didn’t ask for names nor hinted who I think is the mean girl. I only commented on not being afraid of “losing” a mean girl as friend. BE BRAVE to stand your values.
4. I keep looking at girls activities next week and I am getting anxious. Anxious because of the traffic situation here so not sure how early we should leave to get to Sofia’s other campus for swim practice, and how late we will get home. BE BRAVE, we will figure out.
5. I went to school to accompany Lizzy for the school bingo and dance party. Although I got a headache after an hour being there (the noise of small kids really got me), it made Lizzy super happy that I was the judge of the table. Sofia was with her friends and was happy to see me in school, rare event. I feel for those volunteer parents, they are doing the heavy lifting most of the days while I hide in my office. They are BRAVER than me, 100%.
Be brave: I need to remember that!

Be brave! That’s a good mantra to have. I’ve been so impressed with how well Paul has adjusted to kindergarten. I know he’s processing BIG emotions, so it’s not all smooth sailing but overall he’s doing so great!
That is a bummer about the air quality, though. 😦
