I am having so much fun with #NaBloPoMo! More information about this great initiative can be found here!
I had a special “guest” to my office. Lizzy came to spend few hours with me at the office after school. The reason was to “monitor” her to finish her homework efficiently. She loved it!!! She was nervous and excited to come, it was her first time in my current office. Then she said when we were walking home that “today is my best day ever!”. I think kids look up to parents a lot and introducing her my work environment and my colleagues was a bit thing for her. They all came to say hi and thought she’s very cute. She did her homework quickly, had hot chocolate from our coffee machine, and asks to come every week! 🙂

Sofia is starting to wear glasses!!! Sigh… it’s inevitable but I wasn’t expecting already. She needs glasses for her left eye (-1.5). Fortunately she accepted it without too much fuss. Still adjusting to it. I think she looks good, a bit nerdy, with her new glasses.

They also enjoyed leftover ramen I made over the weekend. Lizzy keeps telling me to pass her all my recipes before I “die”. hehehehe….
The new job situation is resolved. I am not applying. So we are staying put for now.
I love receiving your questions…. keep them coming and I will do an Ask Me Anything post soon.
I was seven when I got glasses so until my laser eye surgery this year, glasses was basically all I could remember. I’m thankful my kids haven’t needed glasses yet because they are a nuisance, but I mostly didn’t think about it at ALL as a kid. They helped me see and I didn’t really care if they were smudged or dirty (like I did as I got older).
She looks great; they really suit her face ❤

Thanks for stopping by to comment on my blog. As a person who has worn glasses, spectacles if you will, since I was 5 y.o. I’m thrilled for Sophia. She looks great in those frames and seeing clearly is a wonderful thing.

Aww, Sophia looks great in her glasses! I got glasses in the 4th grade but should have had them many years before that. As you may remember, Paul also had to get glasses this summer. His vision is -1.25 in both eyes. It was hard to get him to wear his glasses but once we got a pair that fit better, he has adjusted to having them. And now when he doesn’t have them on, he asks for them because he says he can’t see anything. So there is a natural reward for wearing them. I got contacts in 8th grade so imagine he’ll go down that path, too. My vision is -4.50. I am hoping his vision isn’t as bad as mine is!

I think it’s great that you kid can do her homework at your office. I wish that was possible at mine but I am also not sure how much my kids would enjoy it. They are both pretty quiet and shy and it would probably stress them out a bot, too.

I got glasses when I was 8 but hated wearing them, so I got contact lenses at age 9!! Have worn them ever since. She looks cute!!
Glad to hear you made a decision on the job- nice to not have uncertainty looming over you. What was the main reason you didn’t want to go for it? (if it’s something you can share)

It was mostly financial. For inexplicable reason I’d be earning less with a promotion. So hard no.
