- I walked the girls to school on my non run day, second Friday on a row, maybe we are starting a new tradition. We all seem to enjoy it.

2. On our walk, we discussed about gifts to each other. Sofia said it’s so hard to get gifts for adults because if we need something, we just get it for ourselves. “Aren’t we so lucky? that we don’t need anything?” My response. Then I had an idea: we could give not useful things, but fun or silly things that you know the other person wouldn’t get it for themselves. Isn’t that a better framework for gift giving?
3. As I walked to the office to finish some work after debating to work form home, work from a cafe, to settle to just go to the office, I texted husband: lunch date or massage date? He responded massage date. So we had foot and back massage in a dark room, chatting about upcoming trips and random ideas. Loved it!
4. We had a spontaneous golf practice with two colleagues from work in the afternoon. Last minute arrangement that gave me extra boost to work more efficiently! Lizzy tagged along and draw this pic of the group. Very funny!

5. Lizzy’s piano teacher is signing her up for a competition May 2024 and she agreed and got excited! I don’t think she’ll win any prize but this gives her motivation to practice more and perform more. Sofia is likely to join too, only for the perform in stage experience. I am already thinking what dress to get them π
Looks so warm and tropical in the picture on the way to school! Love all that green.
Good luck to Lizzy on the piano competition. My boys have done a few music competitions. Neither one really likes them that much, but they are nice now and then to have a goal to work toward, and to get more comfortable performing for people. I used to do them every year for both piano and cello, and I used to get SO nervous. My knee would shake, on the leg I needed to push the pedal with, and I was always so worried the judge would see my knee shaking. haha.

A piano competition. Wow! I’m just so impressed with all your girls do/are willing to participate in.
We walk to school most mornings and it is a LOVELY way to start the day.
