I really enjoyed our Saturday because it started with a great solo long run, 9 miles outside and 5 miles inside the jardin botanico with trails like these that are narrow, shaded, and so quiet.

I stopped by the farmers market after my run, got fresh produce and went home with husband. Girls just finished their piano and mandarin class. Lizzy played with fishing for a while

while I called a friend, vetting and processing about the work news. Then I made lunch: chicken fajita wrap, baked potatos, and broccolini.

Then I finished organizing the books with the help of Lizzy as Sofia went to a playdate. I stopped to have sweet potato while browsing my old books. I tried to remember the state of mind at the time to pick this book, but couldn’t.

Then we went to the lake to catch wild capybara. It was 5:30pm, near sunset, it was so peaceful. 1km into walking, we encountered with a big group of capybaras

Lizzy was so happy

I loved the sunset view, the chill air (50-60 degrees lately in AM/PM), very grateful to be living in this beautiful city

Then we picked up Sofia from her playdate and went home.
Sunday was my solo date with Sofia, 3 miles run at the jardin botanico, followed by breakfast at McDonal’s (as everything else was closed), and a short visit to groceries store because daddy picked us up.
The rest of the day was meh as I think it was the peak of my PMS. Everything annoyed me, everyone annoyed me, so I tried to be alone to not bring negative energy to the rest. Yet, I know they could still feel it. Fortunately I felt better after the massage and had a good bed time chat with the girls.
This week excitement: sofa and armchair delivery! Our living room is getting fuller and I am excited to see how my choice of fabric turns out.
CAPYBARAS! They are so cute! We have some near here at a petting zoo that has animals from Australia and NZ; I went with my niece and we got to feed the capybaras little carrots. They were just adorable. I love them!

That really does sound like a perfect Saturday – and such a great long run on top of it! I would love your running route.
When I worked at a global bank, I always preferred Saturdays. By Sunday, my brain was already ticking through Monday’s meetings and to-do list. A massage sounds like the perfect way to extend the good Saturday vibes!
