New month, new beginning, new commitment to routines even during trips. That’s my intention for November.
Few pics from my work trip. This is Porto digital, an innovation center out of an abandoned port with colonical buildings, revitalized and super cool. In 25 years, the place was converted to innovation hub creating over 20000 jobs and 3rd largest tax payer of the state.

Northeast is famous for octopus and shrimp. My team remember from traveling with me 8 years ago to Bahia, another northeast state, that I love octopus. So he took me to a place for happy hour that served grilled octopus. It was good but not as good as I remember.

The last day we had lunch before going to the airport and again octopus with shrimp and risotto. As you see, I’m a flexible vegan 🙂 honestly I would have chosen something vegan if there’s any in the menu but there’s none.

I got home 7pm and enjoyed the evening with the family. There’s nothing as great as home!
Today I woke up 4am, went out for a run at 6am after prepping girls breakfast. I did 9 miles and had a blast.
I did more meal prep for the family as I’m leaving again on Sunday: banana muffins, pasta with chicken and cherry tomato, potato egg salad, chicken milanesa. Tomorrow I may make something more. I had Lizzy for help to make the milanesas. She’s pro by now.

I enjoyed my veggie filled lunch, after 4 days of limited access to abundant vegetables, this place makes me so happy.

Bubble is so cute eating her food.

Sofia went for a birthday party. I’m going to hang out with Lizzy, have a massage, and maybe play beach volleyball on sunset, and go to bed early to read.
For November: I want to re-commit to few things:
- Morning meditation, even if just 5 min
- Journal planning, taking it for trips too.
- Take the supplements: AG1, joint health, omega 3, magnesium before bed, collagen peptide. Why? for slowing knee cartilage degeneration
- Morning reading, even 10 min.
- Charge phone not in the bedroom.
October book: culpability. 3/5.
October TV: diplomat season 3 (5/5), killing eve 2 seasons (5/5).
November first book to read: the ten years affair.
I am joining NABLOPOMO.
There is a vegan glucosamine supplement that might help you with your knees! I used it for my hips back in my running days.

I believe the brand I used was Enerex – I took it for many years and I do think it helped.

Killing Eve was crazy, wasn’t it? I really liked the Diplomat this season, too.
I’ve never heard of AG1, going to go check that out.
It sounds like you have some very good goals. 🙂

It’s been a while I read along your blog so I need to catch up on all the travels and I think you moved. Looking forward to reconnect. Happy NabLoPoMo.

Wow you have been traveling a lot! It seems like this role involves a lot more travel than your previous role!
I have tried octopus a few times and it seems like something that can easily get tough. So I haven’t liked it the times I have tried it!

I like the recommitment ideas for November. I have some more travel coming up soon too (Mexico) and I feel like no matter what, travel throws me totally off any and all routines, often for several days before and after! Much of it is probably my own fault but I always just feel extra busy getting ready to go and then getting back into normal life, unpacking, or sleep is disrupted etc so I never seem to have extra time to do everything I want to do… I want to work on rearranging my workout schedule going forward, my strength workouts. I’ll have to blog about it. I normally plan the gym on both Sat and Sun plus 3 strength during the week, but I keep finding our weekends are too busy with either family, kid stuff, household work or projects… so I end up missing the weekend workouts too often. I want to experiment with just trying to hit the gym M to F for my strength, and leave Sat and Sun more open, just for a quick at home cardio session or yoga or something easier to fit in (versus a longer gym session that also includes GOING to the gym…).

It does seem like you’re traveling more now- is that a feature of the new job?
I like your intentions for November. I’m thinking I should do something like this- otherwise the month will pass in a blur.
