Typical work trip day

I came back to Recife last night 9:30pm which was not too bad as I went to sleep right away.

This morning I went to the basic gym for 45 min strength training (upper body and running specific exercise). It was not the best set up but I was very happy with sticking to the routine.

I now travel with my portable kettle because I don’t find it in all hotels in Brazil. I like to start my day with mate and end the end with tea, so having kettle with me is a no negotiable.

I joined my colleagues for breakfast: I plan to stick to vegan food this time so I had papaya and sweet potato

we left hotel 8am for our first meeting. Then on the way to the second meeting, I encountered this in the uber, super funny and makes sense. The next uber was selling phone accesories.

The last meeting of the day I witnessed someone that I felt: I want to be like her when I grow up. She is a 82 lady, fully articulated, fearless, and so on the point! I gave her a big hug!

Now we’re back to the hotel for change and short break before going out for dinner. Once I am back, I plan to take a long hot shower, getting cozy with a tea and my kindle to end the day.

Miss family? definitely. But I also feel super charged mentally after spending 2 days at home with the family.

  1. Hi Coco! That uber sales cart is crazy. Makes sense. Traveling with your own kettle is a commitment to your morning beverage of choice. I travel with my own deep plastic bowl so that I can make my oatmeal. I have celiac and I need to start my day with my oatmeal. But it is a pain in the neck to fit it in my bag.

  2. I love this- my job is so, so different from yours so I love seeing how you spend your day. Nice job keeping to ALL your routines (exercise, tea drinking, vegan diet) while away from home!

  4. Don’t some people age amazingly well. We have a friend from church who is so active, volunteers with our pre-school music group and has just been on a four-week trip to Morocco and Portugal. She took group tours but as a solo traveller all the way from Australia. I want to be like her when I grow up!
