I finally had my appt with the famous and impossible to get an appt female doctor today, almost 6 months long wait. I wouldn’t say she’s revolutionary, as I am well informed about the perimenopause, hormonal shifts, etc. Yet I learned few things and trust her enough to start making some changes. I still have few more studies to do and then we will start.
I attended to a birthday lunch celebration of a team member. It’s a churrasco restaurant so it was not my favorite place to eat. But I honestly don’t care so much about food when the purpose of getting together is getting together. After his third beer, we all went back to office to finish an important task.
3 colleagues from DC and Rio spent the week here and are leaving tonight. I wish the whole team is based in Brasilia. In person interaction is sooo much more effective.
I am so glad to come home, while late, found enough vegetables prepared by our helper. I don’t need to cook anything for myself, and can focus cooking something for the family. I need to make a new batch of sourdough, and promised the girls to make pizza. Maybe brownie is in the list this time.
My energy shift 90 degrees 3 days ago, since the start of the second part of the cycle. I am truly amazed how much difference I can gift due to hormonal shift. Maybe my new regime will fix this
So great that you were able to see a good doctor – hope it all helps!
Mmmm I wish I had some brownies right now!

Are you going to try HRT? I have heard that some women even my age get good results, but I haven’t talked to my doctor about it yet.

Could you share in more detail what the specialist recommended? I’ve been doing a lot of reading on this and I’m extremely interested. It seems as though the recommend recommendations have done sort of a 360 over the years.

I will once I finish my additional tests and start the regime. I highly recommend the episode by Peter Attia on this topic.

I’m curious about the changes you will make as well! I ran with a friend who is an OBGYN this am. Her practice opened a menopause clinic since there is such a surge in demand for care for that population.

Also in perimenopause… also need help. You reminded me to talk to my doctor about it. Although I feel like I already did? Did she listen to me? Not sure, it was at my annual physical. Not sure how much I can push?..
