5 on Friday

  1. Most exciting thing this week: I got so excited/amazed when someone made a brilliant comment in a meeting. He’s our VP and honestly he keeps surprising me with his insights and how he delivers it. I feel expanded after being in the same meeting with him. Also, I found a new book that I am so excited to listen to. It’s work related but yet, I appreciate its nuance, and can’t wait to find out more about.
  2. What worried me: Sofia has the same knee diagnostic as me but worse. I don’t know what caused it, but the doctor says should be fine with Physio. We will be doing knee strengthening exercises together. How fun!
  3. What I am looking forward to: I’ll be going to Buenos Aires to meet with my BFF for easter, alone. She’s visiting with family for two weeks, and I thought it would be most cost effective if I go alone given that girls don’t have long holidays and the ticket price is over 500 for such short flight. I am so excited to do a visual update of us with each other. Last time we met was Sept 2021. Since we talk often, it didn’t feel like so long. But before we both get old and wrinkled 😉 we want to see each other.
  4. What I am reading: Monsters in love. It’s a nonfiction about long term relationship. It’s a quite different take from other relationship/marriage books I’ve read, it brings a new perspective and I am enjoying it.
  5. What I am planning to do this weekend: 12 miles on Saturday, get a new bike for Lizzy, solo outing with Lizzy as Sofia left this morning to São Paulo for MUN conference, start a new fiction, and make sourdough bagels.

  1. I just told my husband about that book when I clicked on it, and asked him if he needs it. He merely looked at me and went back to his football commentary show.

Eeep, sorry about Sofia’s knee – hope the physio helps!

It’s so inspiring to be around brilliant people!

  2. Hmm! That book sounds really interesting.

Poor Sofia! Does the knee hurt? Is it keeping her from any activities? I hope the PT fixes the issue.

I hope your weekend was nice. Sourdough bagels sound good!

  3. Oh, I would so love to see my BFF! It’s been a couple of years and I miss her. I hope you have an amazing time, and I like that you’re going alone. That changes the vibe, and I hope that you are able to spend one on one time just the two of you.

I’m sorry about Sofia’s knee! I hope the PT helps.
