Friday misc and a story

Friday was “busy”.

7am: take the girls to school with husband

8-9am: phsyiotheray with a lot of glute and balancing exercise. Pretty fun and challenging.

10-11am: upper body workout while husband was having his training session too. I love working out with him. Technically near by as he was with his coach.

11:30-12:30pm: dentist to put back a crown that fell off the day before as I was eating a sticky candy.

1-1:50pm: solo calm lunch with husband

2pm: pick up the girls and drive to the other campus to get their uniforms (old ones did not fit well).

4pm: finally back home after going through the traffic. I prepared dinner while girls had zoom class or homework.

5-8pm: night routine

A lot of outing but felt calm and not rushed. 🙂 I especially enjoy the car ride chat with husband.

A story to share.

I was meeting one of my old classmates. She’s not the CEO of a big company, very successful. I haven’t seen her for a long time. I was about to go to meet her. Then my mom made a comment: are you going to meet her with this (my casual outfit)? I said: yes, why not. Then, I met her and she was on sweat pant too. hahahah…

I almost always wear casual clothes now unless it’s an office day. The casual vibe makes everybody more comfortable, relaxed, approachable. Don’t you think? can you imagine if I’ve followed my mom’s advise and dress up with full make up on? It would have been so awkward. 😉

Saturday plan:

  • try to do a steady run outdoor if AQI is not 200! 😦
  • Girls golf class. finger crossed air quality improves by then
  • dermatologist for Lizzy persistent eczema problem.
  • new piano teacher trial
  • lunch out?
  • movie night?

  1. That sounds like such a nice day! I also am a very casual dresser especially on the weekends. When I was packing for this trip I messaged my friend to make sure we would be keeping it casual for dinners and such and she was like – of course! I only wear make up the 3 days I am in the office. I find my skin is so much better now that I don’t wear make up as much and wear very little make up even when I do wear make up.

  2. You look cute in the cut-off shorts. 🙂 I usually am very casual dresser overall too. I do sometimes think that I get more in “work mode” mentally if I dress a little nicer even working from home, but I still often just wear my Lululemon leggings (SO comfy!!) with a little nicer top or something. Haha. Or if I have a meeting on camera I’ll wear a blouse/ dressier top and then still just my leggings on the bottom, which no one can see. lol!

What happened to your old piano teacher? Didn’t you have one since arriving to Jakarta?

  3. I can wear very casual clothing at work (when I do go to the office), so I have very limited opportunities to dress up at all and won’t unless required. I agree that casual is the new chic 🙂

  4. I am yet to find a casual wardrobe that is not frumpy. I feel when I dress casually I feel I may look disheveled (maybe only in my eyes). So I stick with dresses- they are easy enough to just throw on but I noticed it elevates my mood a bit. Makeup… Very little: blush +mascara +lip gloss.
