3:30 woke up and couldn’t go back to sleep. Didn’t get annoyed as I could just read in bed.
4:10: got up. morning routine.
5:45: headed out for 10 miles run. Texted Sofia so she knows what time I left.
7:36: picked up Sofia outside our building and jogged with her for 28 min. It was hot and humid and sunny, so we finished in front of the food market, got iced cane sugar juice, walked back, stopped by groceries store for milk, mango and cherry tomato.
8:53: back, soaked in sweat both of us.

look who we found, playing by herself with her babies.

9:30: showered, heated up Sofia’s breakfast (crepes) and made mine (oatmeal). Enjoyed quietly in my office while reading blogs.
10:38: I came out and caught Sofia undoing some steps that Lizzy did the day before as she encountered problem finishing last few steps. I chopped some veggies for lunch prep.

11:10: stretching and mobility.
11:30: husband drove me to my monthly chiropractor appt. It was done in 15 min, all good, keeping up with good posture, just some normal stiffness.

12pm: got back, girls still working on the lego. Lizzy was ON the table by then.

12:30pm: girls’ lunch served, tuna melt sandwich from leftover tuna salad. I also put the vegies and beans into instant pot to prepare my lunch.

Girls finished the lego set after lunch, FINALLY!!!

1:30pm: lunch was ready, inspired by Elizabeth’s soup and biscuit lunch. I used butter beans and chickpea. It turned out fantastic, paired with corn (obviously).

2:30-4pm: we watched Kongfu Panda 4 as a family and had a blast! We all laughed so much. We all had a bowl of snacks to munch when watching the movie, which made it feel like in the real movie.
4pm: girls doing the dishes and putting away dry dishes. I chatted with my BFF over the phone for almost an hour, our weekly call date.

5:30pm: prepare dinner which I started mid-movie. The pork dish takes 2-3 hrs to cook. It’s a soy sauce-based pork belly with eggs, girls’ love it but so expensive making it in Indonesia as pork is not common. I told Sofia that this dish costs 20 USD!!! She savored it each bite 🙂 Paired with broccoli and tofu, and rice. I had the veg dish and red porridge.

6-7:30pm: we all read our kindles, eventually moved to my bed.
7:45pm: fell asleep. I know, super early as I woke up 3:30am so I guess my natural awake time is about 16 hrs.
This weekend was super chill and plenty of free space. I love it, especially knowing that next weekend will be busy. Swim practice, piano competition, and swimming competition. Enjoy the rest while we can.
Wow! That’s an EARLY morning. But you made up for it with a great bedtime.
I’m so glad the soup worked out well! It’s so delicious and comes together faster than most soups, I find!

Lizzy looks so cute with all of her little friends lined up. It seems like part of learning how to do Lego sets involved undoing your work and figuring out where you went wrong! Paul has gotten a bit better at calling for help if things aren’t lining up/matching what he seems in the instructions.
The 3:30 wake up sounds tough but it’s good to just accept it when it happens. I try to read if I wake up and can’t go back to sleep. It usually works unless I am really stressed about something.

This sounds like a really nice Sunday! I had to wince a little at the 3:30 wakeup, but I know that feeling – you’re awake and eager to get started with the day. Great job on the run, for you and Sofia both! I LOVE the Lego- we’re big Lego fans here and that set is very cool.
I have to make that soup- maybe on Sunday when I do my food prep!!!
