- Groceries shopping could be fun when it’s done with the little kid. I write down the list, Lizzy cross it over as we get things, and she helps me to carry a 1/3 of the groceries to home. I don’t know how is it possible that we always run out of fresh vegetables and tofu by Thursday, no matter how much I buy. I could have wait one more day as Friday is my usual groceries day, but we ran out of toilet paper so a trip was needed by Thursday.

2. I finally got to have an in-house massage with a new company that supposedly to be the best in Jakarta for home spa. I book for me and husband. Two therapists arrived on time, brought a good quality massage bed, a light, scent, and music. I had mine in Sofia’s room while husband had it at our bedroom. It was soooo good, exactly what I needed after Wednesday’s hard run workout.

3. I binged 5 episodes of the perfect couple. OMG! I am saving the last episode for the weekend.
4. My mom is arriving in two weeks and I’m ordering things from China, things that I didn’t know we needed. hahaha… examples:
- bra, socks, underwear for Sofia;
- underwear and running socks for me;
- running water bottles, running belts, and hair band for me;
- birthday presents from all 3 of us for Sofia’s 12th birthday;
- next level piano exam books;
- alarm clocks for the girls;
- slippers;
- 4 new swimsuits for the girls;
- sneakers for Sofia. Her feet grow so fast!
- Pjs
- hair brush
- sun jacket
5. New round of job searching starts! Exciting and busy time ahead!
How nice that your mom is coming! That’s a long list of stuff… ha. Why do these things specifically have to come from China? The specific brands etc? Seems like where you are in such a big city like Jakarta would have pretty much everything, no?

I hate going to the malls, buying from China has more options and cheaper. Local online shopping is inconvenient because it’s all in bahasa 🤣

I’m so glad your mom is coming. That will be a fun visit and I know that your girls were sooo sad when she went hope after the DC trip. Hope you have a great time!
An at-home massage sounds divine. Gold stars for arranging it.

That’s amazing that your mom is coming! I always order things from Russia when a relative is coming. Tea. Cookies. Canned foods.
I need to get groceries this weekend, we have nothing in the refrigerator.
This week has been a grinder for me… I am just so beat… I need rest, lots and lots of rest.

That is cute that you had a helper on your grocery trip! Phil does all of our shopping. It’s probably been 5+ years since I have done it!
Good luck with the job search! I am excited to see what country you end up in next! And how exciting that you will see your mom soon!!

I love when the kids grocery shop with me! It almost never happens now, of course, but I used to love it!
