5 on Friday

  1. Sharing the list of kids’ wish list of meals for 2 weeks. This makes planning easier! 🙂 #2 is red sauce pork belly, and #8 is Hainan chicken.

#4 is made: cheesy pasta with charred corn.

2. I visited the beauty place recommended by my colleague and have purchased the plan. Let’s see if I get rejuvenated after 3 months! Ha! My strategy for this kind of procedures is that as long as it’s not invasive, even the effect is not a lot, it’s better than not doing anything. No botox yet. Not against it but was not recommended to me yet, instead, I am doing some procedures to rejuvenate and some boost for collagen production.

3. I had my dental implant surgery. It was not necessarily a pleasant experience given the drilling close to my ear. Yet, I’m amazed by modern medicine and have access to the service with very experienced doctor. Now, I’m in total rest for 1 week as pos op is just as important for a good result. I am with 1 week of antibiotics, anti-inflammatory and pain killer. Hopefully no complication until I see the doctor again in 12 days to take off the stitches. And then, I can resume running (which is probably the hardest part of pos op). I am not too unhappy about the break from running as it will give my knee one extra week to heal (whatever it is healing from).

4. I have decided where to go for October break! YAY! It will be near Ceara, the north of Brazil, off the radar place, recommended by someone who went there few years ago. I am reviewing a report about the north east region so I am interested to see how that part of the country looks like. Can you imagine a place with pristine beaches and sand dunes?! Well… that’s where we are going.

5. Weekend plan: Sofia has a playdate, I plan to cook/meal prep, read, nap, organize, plan October trip.

  1. Ooh I am so interested to hear about this “rejuvenation” process. There is a place near me that sounds similar and I’ve always been curious. I wonder if I myself need rejuvenation or if I should just lean in to full crone.

  2. Kudos for taking care of yourself – both with the dental implant (ouch, but so worth it!) and the collagen-boosting treatments. I really like your approach: gentle, non-invasive tweaks over time. It makes such a difference to have a professional who gives honest feedback!

  3. Ouch- my mouth is hurting just thinking about your surgery. I hope you’re not too uncomfortable. Can you eat solid foods?

i love that the girls came up with a list for meal planning! Brilliant idea- this way they can’t complain about the meals. I should get my daughter to do this.

Your October vacation sounds amazing. I can’t wait to hear all about it!
