Traumatic event?

It was a normal morning. I had a good speed run, arrived to office 8am for my strength session, then I got a text from husband. The door was opened and clearly Cookie attacked Bubble while nobody was at ,home. OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

He couldn’t find Bubble anywhere. There’s poop everywhere in Bubble’s room.

Panic, worry, scare, all those emotions.

Few hours later. Room cleaned. Bubble resurfaced but scared. Cookie locked in the upper room.

I had a lot of emotions and thoughts, but none of them has any relation of regret.

I had a wonderful bonding morning with Bubble. She softens my heart, she makes Lizzy happy, she brings so much joy to our family.

We just need to deal with it.

Life throws a ball to us, we adjust until we find a new equilibrium.

I don’t know when this equilibrium will arrive but I am hopeful we will.

I came home early today to make her company. She needs soothing. She needs to feel safe again.

On a lighter note, I found an excellent podcast, Ask Lisa. I’ve read all her books and didn’t know she has a podcast. I’ve listened to 2 episodes and find it so good! I’m going back to previous post now.

  1. AAACK!!! I was so scared when I saw the first paragraph- glad Bubble is okay. WHY are cats so difficult??? There’s enough love to go around for everyone (and, more importantly to them, enough food for everyone.) We have the opposite issue, where Foxy is the aggressive one. He and Muffin really get into it, but no one is hurt and I think the both enjoy it. But Charlotte isn’t feeling well these days, and she can’t take Foxy’s “playfulness.” He keeps pouncing on her and we have to keep them separated. SIGH. We really love Foxy, but I hope he calms down as he gets older.
