Saturday activities

11.11 miles run pain free while listening to this fascinating episode. I have been mostly listening to music while running as I wanted my mind to breath and flow. But after yesterday’s appt, I wanted to hear what Peter has to say about HRT. Fascinating! I didn’t want to end the run until the end of the episodes so I walked quite a bit to get back home. I could have run more but I wanted to follow the 10% rule this time around. Last week I did 9.7, so this week I can’t go much beyond 11. 11.11 just for fun. The sun was up and bright by 8am. This true is ours, and it’s so pretty.

after some cooking: sourdough prepping, black bean brownies (vegan and non-vegan version), and tahini chocolate cookies. I went out to get some cake for the girls to take to their playdate. I felt so lucky to be living in this place, look the lake view.

those cookies turned out great, and vegan! I subscribed to one of my favorite vegan food youtuber newsletter, and made 2 out of 3 recipes she posted today.

girls left 11:45am. I finished baking and played with Bubble a bit in Lizzy’s ice cream shop. Then I watched two episodes of a Brazilian series, recommended by my teacher.

Followed by nap and reading. Then a home massage before girls came back.

Now girls are about to watch netflix. I’ll read and go to bed early.

Tomorrow I’ll do few savory meal prep: kimchi, curry chicken, and sourdough pizza (first time!).

Q: Do you have a signature cookie recipe? Please share. We are in a quest to find The perfect cookie recipe.

    1. I will have to listen to that episode. I don’t have many symptoms yet of perimenopause and the ones I have wont be helped by HRT but I will likely need it at some point.

I bet it is nice to not worry about the AQI anymore! Or I assume that is not an issue in Brasilia most of the time? Glad you had a good run. I ran 5 miles with my OB friend and then we got coffee.

    2. I like the cookie recipes on Nora Cooks. They are all vegan and VERY good- but maybe not as healthy as you would like (I’m just guessing that based on the fact that you put tahini in your cookies and black beans in your brownies.) Also I think she calls for vegan butter, and I’m not sure if that’s available where you are. I’ll look on her website and see if there are any that don’t call for hard-to-find ingredients.
