Sunday rituals?

I did my easy run in the park near my house. I am starting to “enjoy” the hills. The New York marathon is notorious for the numerous bridges later in the race so I guess it’s good to starting training for them. I truly enjoy these quiet runs solo.

I noticed I need music for my runs now. I can’t do podcast anymore. I want to free up my mind completely, and even easy podcast would take up too much of my mind. Even if I was listening to podcast before, I had to switch to music when I start running. I’m sure I could rewind my mind to get tides to podcast again but why!? I’m now the one recommending new singers.songs to my kids because I get more exposure to new songs.

Then I spent 90min talking to my mom. I am consistently calling her every weekend. It’s nice to share our daily life with her, even though in a condense manner and like wise, to be connected despite 11 hours time difference.

I took a nap after lunch then got ready to go to the birthday party. Lizzy joined me.

There was live music, BBQ, too many kids, although Lizzy found one at her age. They’ve never met before but 30 min after we arrived, they were playing together. I love how social Lizzy is.

We left 6pm so we could still have time to relax at home. I can’t wait to get back to this book that I started today and loving it.

How’s your Sunday? Do you have any rituals on sundays?

Mine is to call my mom and check my work calendar to know how the week will unfold. And being outdoor running. I debated to do cycling today but the sun was quite strong by the time I finished my run at 7am so I decided to do yoga to stretch out instead.
