Binge watching on a lazy Saturday

Lazy Friday continued to Saturday. I felt tired, weak, exhausted. My eyes have viral conjunctivitis (or what my telemedicine doctor told me) giving me allergy symptoms and headache. So I did little and rested most of the day on the couch.

As someone who exercise everyday, first thing I notice is when I start my morning jog. My HR was too high too fast. I wondered if it was the accumulated stress/fatigue since we came back from vacation, or is it because it’s this time of the cycle? I wonder…. Need to pay attention how my energy level fluctuates over the cycle in upcoming months.

Sofia and Lizzy went to a playdate so hubby and I had a quiet lunch.

after lunch, I had to take a nap, 30 min seems to be my magic number. No matter how tired I am, I always wake up after 30 min. Yet, I was still feeling tired. So my moved myself from bed to couch and asked hubby to set up netflix as I was even too tired to read. I watched Queen’s Gambit from 3-6pm, girls joined me for one episode too. I’ve heard great reviews about the show. I agree that it’s entertaining, but honestly I’d rather spent those 3 hrs reading a book. I didn’t regret though, sometimes I need to try something else to appreciate/confirm what we like. i’ll be back to reading tomorrow. 🙂

When Sofia finished her math course, we made popcorn as it was girls TV night. It was our first time making it and it was a big success! no burn and big bowl of popcorn.

girls enjoyed 1.5 hrs of kids TV while I enjoyed quiet reading time.

I went to bed by 7:50pm. I feel like an old nanny…. hahaha….

Something happened today that I found amusing. Sofia went to a playdate and the mother of the girl couldn’t stop telling me her life for 30 min. When I came back and told my husband that they are from Canada, my husband asked where in Canada as he lived there for years. I said: I don’t know….. I didn’t have chance to ask anything as she kept talking. hahahah…. I like people who are open to tell you about life without reservation, I am open too if you ask  me anything, but I don’t think I’d be pouring information without asking. People are interesting! 🙂
