Thanks for your thoughtful comments from my last post, a bit heavy but I am glad to hear that many of you grew up in middle class, yet you found your motivation and worked hard because your family taught you work ethics! That gives me a lot of hope!
Few fun things
- Below is my favorite type of cat! This one we saw it in a pet shop in Shanghai and Sofia gave it the bubble. We were going to get another cat for Lizzy, but since we got back, her allergy to cat got worse it seems, so we are not getting one yet. Bummer… I would love to have a chubby, sleepy, lazy cat.
2. Cookie is obsessed with shower water, and now that I soak my feet in this wood tub, she’s obsessed with that too.
3. Our new evening ritual involves 20 min soaking feet in hot water, recommended by my chinese doctor as therapy for my ankle. Girls joined me few times. So relaxing and does magic to my sleep quality.
4. Friday was a selfceare day. I started with physio, followed by getting my second dose of dengue vaccine, follow up visit with chiropractor, and ended with a 100 min foot massage with hubby.
5. We got a new chore for the girls! Car wash. They got so excited!!! Anything involving water is so fun for them.
6. I had a long call with an old friend. It has been over a year since we last talked and I laughed soooooo hard!!! What made me happy was the change of perception/interpretation of a text I got from him a while ago. Really…. FaceTiming is soooo much better and much less room for misinterpretation.
Okay… heading out for my last 20 miler workout before the race! Excited!!! 😀
Our New Journey 
I hope your last 20 mile run went well and you had no issues with your ankle! Your self care day sounded great! I need to schedule another one for May. I am going to try to take them once/quarter this year. The one I had in feb was so great. Friday is kind of a mini self care day as Phil and I are both off work for the Easter holiday but the boys both have school. I am sure we will do some productive projects around the house but hopefully we will also go out to lunch. Then I end the day by reading a book to taco’s classroom at school which should be fun!
