Sofia had belly pain to the degree that she had to skip school. I had mild belly pain throughout my 8.5 miles run. Husband had belly pain when driving girls back to home in the middle of the road. We joked that 75% of the family had a belly ache day, Lizzy said her stomach was aching for food, all day long. HA!
Husband and I also had headache for most of the day. He could nap at home, I had to battle it against work. Sigh.
It was just one of those days. Part of life. Tomorrow can only get better.
Highlights (I almost ended the day without any)
- My bestie from work (who lives in Saudi now) called me 7pm after texting back and forth for 5 min. It was so nice to just chat, complain about office politics, to each other, hear his new car, and his movie recommendation for Lizzy. It put a big smile on my face.
- Lizzy came to bed and told me how mamiiii I am. I asked: what do you mean I am very mamiii? She said: mama is someone kind, caring, cooks good food, and cares about birthdays. Oh well… I am glad she likes my mami-approach.
Workout: 8.5 miles run with 92% humidity. 20 min lower body strength
Media: be ready when luck happens (audiobook) while running. 2 episodes of disclaimer after work when I needed an excuse to lie flat, hoping my headache goes away.
Read: Bel Canto, 15 min maybe. During the week I don’t get to read much and that is ok.
Favorite meal: ate same thing as the day before: oatmeal, shepherd pie, kabocha and vegetables with tofu.
Oh dear, I hope you feel better tomorrow and it’s not something serious. I love that you still managed to find some good even though it wasn’t the best day.

I hope your belly is feeling better. I listen to books while I cook and so on, but I don’t get much time in on a physical book. It takes me weeks to finish one.

Sorry to hear most of you were feeling under the weather. I had bad headaches that I think is related to my cycle.
I’ll be curious to see what you think of Bel Canto. I really disliked it when I read it 10-15 years ago. I wonder if I would like it as a more mature reader, though.

This sounds no fun. I loved your daughter’s answer though. Smart one.
I’ve had weird valley ache too for the past two or three days. What’s in the water?

I think the belly ache is due to the election! It was psychosomatic or something!

Ha, I like Kyria’s comment. Maybe your body is aching in sympathy for your friends in the US. I hope you feel better today.
