Good news day

So many good things happened today:

  1. I slept 11 solid hours! Woke up with light outside (rare event for me) and felt million bucks.
  2. I did a super enjoyable 15 miles long run in 50Fs. I barely drink, 400 ml instead of 2 liter as my usual, and felt I didn’t run much. What a difference.
  3. I had lunch with my favorite people in China: my mom, husband’s parents, my uncle’s family who I consider my parents and closest family. Below are my favorite cousin and her daughter.
  4. I was relieved to see my MIL energetic and healthy. We had some scare last week about her and we started to think all scenarios of what to do next. Fortunately after second round of tests, she’s fine. Still need to rest more going forward, but no surgery would be needed.
  5. I convinced them to come to Indonesia for the Chinese new year and they agreed!!!! I’m so thrilled to spending the Chinese New Year with them in Bali in a huge villa. YAY!!!

6. I spent hours chatting with my mom as I am not distracted by kids, I could focus on her and I love it.

7. The girls had a great playdate with Sofia’s classmate, arranged by me and so thankful for the mom to agree to host them.

8. I found the perfect gift for Sofia for the Christmas. I can’t wait to see her reaction to it.

What a great day!!! 😆

  1. I don’t think I have seen a picture of you since you had your hair done. It looks great! Your trip home sounds wonderful! It is nice to travel with the kids but also nice when you can just focus on the people you are visiting!!

  2. This all sounds wonderful. YES- a run in the 50s feels incredible after running in hot weather. We’re getting down to the 50s at night this week, which means early morning runs in the 50s! It’s soooo much easier.

I wish I could sleep for 11 hours!!! That must have been amazing. And- time with family is the best.
