Happy things this week

  1. My job security is confirmed! Yay! I have a job, and we don’t need to leave Brasilia! What a relief! In my 14 years of working, this is the first time I felt risk.
  2. We have decided to get a new cat for Lizzy. She begged a lot and we have finally decided to “cave” in. Whether we buy one or adopt one, still to be decided.
  3. Two important items at home were “broken” and magically got repaired. My AirPod, my mom accidentally washed it with my clothes. I almost bought a new one, but decided to give rice drying a try. After 4 days, they are fully functional. Our newly acquired second fridge stopped working after few episodes of power outage. We got someone come to check and said the electric panel is burned and replacing it cost 600 USD. I found a second person, and it got fixed in 10 min, costing me exactly 13 dollars. Whew!
  4. I can delegate Sofia to do trip planning. Yay! I booked flights, hotels, car rental, Disney package, and then told Sofia to plan our detailed itinerary. She did a fantastic job!
  5. Our summer plan is shaping up nicely. We are going to Rio de Janeiro for 4 days next week, then 1 weeks to Buenos Aires, ending it with 11 days in LA (solo girls trip to attend black pink concert and Disney)
  6. I got some speed in my legs this Wednesday, that was after 2 weeks of low readiness and continued fatigue. My reset plan is working!
  7. Girls and I are enjoying early to bed routine to read together for 30 min or so.

  1. What a relief about your job. And that’s amazing that the Airpod works. Rice really is like magic for that sort of thing.

There are so many things our kids can do to help (and have fun/contribute their own opinions) when they get to these older years. I’m a big fan!
