Creating more blank space

Before I dive into the title of today’s post as my action plan after the call with my coach, let me rewind a bit of my day.

I woke up before 4am and stayed resting until 4am. I had a tough workout ahead so I didn’t check oura score just in case it tells me I didn’t recover well which would have negatively impacted my confidence. I was right, it was 76.

By 5am I started to get ready (take nitrogen drink, toast with almond butter) to head out as I needed to finish the workout before 6:45am so I have time to change and head to Slimfit for my third strength session of the week. But before that, 30 seconds of purring was on call

I went out 5:20 and could still see stars. I was a bit anxious about the workout: 5 reps of 8 min threshold run , targeting 7:47 min/mile, with 2 min recovery in between.

And I nailed it

My knee did felt bothered but not painful. I changed my shirt at home, grabbed a banana, said bye to the girls, and went to slimfit for a super strong workout.

Filled with endorphine I got to office before my first meeting 9:30am, then 10, 11, 12:30, 12:45, quick lunch, 13:10, 14:30pm when I met with coach.

I felt rushed, busy without clear idea what I am doing. So it was time to pause and reflect how can I be more intentional. Do I need to be in all those meetings? Probably not. Can I delegate more? Definitely. So we agreed to implement what we discuss in the coming month and meet again.

It’s nice to pause and step back.

My goal for the rest of May is to create more blank space in my work calendar!

How’s your day? What made it special? Mine was definitely the run and the amazing sunrise I witnessed.
