Muggy day running and cooking

It is the beginning of winter season in Brasilia. I woke up by Cookie who entered our room 3:45 intending to wake me up. She even touched me. I snoozed for half hour and finally got up 4:20am. It’s dark, cold, rainy. But I was in great mood and excited for my run. I always get excited when knowing I’ll have good two hours or so of slow enjoyable run, no matter the weather.

When I went out, 5:50am, it was cold and raining a bit. I was sure that our condominium security guard looked me thinking I was crazy to get out running in a short. He was wearing winter impermeable jacket and a hat.

I ended up running 13 miles. Kept it low effort for the entire run. Took two nasty gels. I need to restock huma chia gel when we go to US next month.

I got home, took a hot shower, isn’t that the best?! Had my lovely oatmeal bowl and spent an hour chatting with mom.

By 11am, girls finished their mandarin lessons and we went out to get some baking ingredients. Husband was taking care of the bread baking in the oven and cleaning the vegetables for lunch.

We got home almost 12pm and by 12:50 all was served.

Garlic butter honey salmon, garlic bread, hainan chicken, tofu seaweed soup and some vegetables and corn.

Then we did some online shopping for daddy to bring back from China. I had my massage. And then Sofia baked a batch of cookies, I made brownies and burritos, while Lizzy played with slimes.

Nothing is better to stay home in cozy Pj all day long in a rainy day.

Let me leave you with Sofia who made company to this puppy who looked very stressed. Sofia was happy that at the end, he finally relaxed and laid in her for a while.
