My two meetings with people in SP went very well. I accompished and surpassed the goal for those meetings. It’s always nice to be positively surprised.
I ran on the treadmill as it was still dark when I started and SP is not a safe city. I was glad to have the run done as I felt much better when I finished than how I started.
Did you know the new DJ feature of Spotify? It works well. I asked for running music and it delivered!
I came back to hotel 4pm and had two more calls with team in Brasilia, reporting back my progress.
Then I ordered takeover salad as I was just too tired to go out alone for dinner. Salad on my desk was what I needed.
I then tried to take a bath. The idea sounds lovely but I encountered few issues: hard to get the water temperature right, the bath tub was too long for me, I kept falling with my kindle on hand that felt risky, so I got out after 10 min. Well… once again I was reminded that bathing is not my thing.
Issues at home are not resolved but I’m choosing not to react to it or minimize until I go back. Tomorrow will be a long day, starting 8am breakfast meeting until probably 10pm dinner meeting. The positive side is that I’ll be taking first flight back home Saturday morning.
It’s 7pm here and I’m in bed with kindle. Already chat with Sofia, waiting for Lizzy to call me when she finishes her homework, hopefully before I fall asleep.
When you travel for work, how do you keep in touch with the family?
Im pretty bad with this as I’m usually exhausted by evening. So sometimes it’s just few texts and short call.
So good that the meetings went well, Coco! Positive surprises can be a big boost in heavier weeks.
I hope that breathing space that Sao Paolo gave you will energize you to tackle the problem back home.
And yes… baths are clearly not your thing, haha!

Well, I love baths, theoretically, but also have issues. Our bathtub at home is actually a little too short, so when I go to a hotel I try to take a bath if I can. Last time I stayed in a hotel the room only had a shower, arg!
Glad you had a good, productive day. Sometimes you really need a treadmill! It’s a great solution when you can’t run outside.
Hope your day today is going well!
