we had a fun weekend which started with this meme about 80s in our slimfit. I find the photo super cute

Friday dinner for the family: meatball with a yogurt sauce, sayote stir fry made by our helper, cucumber tomato salad, and yellow rice. the famiy thought it was fancy

Saturday we took Bubble for a bath and hydration. She probably hated the entire process but we had so much fun watching her

then we went to see a cat that the owner is giving away. her name is Diana and she is the same breed as Bubble. Gosh… it was so hard to make a decision. She is not as cute as Bubble but we all felt that her future was quite dark because if she can’t be adopted by a family, she’d go back to the pet store with precarious condition. But given our two cats not co-living situation, adding a third member seems complicated. So I decided to sit on it.
Then we went to a cat cafe with street cats adopted by the owner. Girls played with them for a while.

Sunday was a low key day. We found gigantic avocado at the store for daddy

played with Bubble as it was her day out. She loves water melon and we let the juice for her

Bringing a new cat to home is not an easy decision for us as it will be a family member. If we get a cat, she’ll be with us until she dies, traveling to countries with us no matter what documents/process we need to do. Yet, it seems not the norm for other expats here. The lady who is giving away is from Indonesia and she said that most people in the embassy gives away their pets for adoption when they leave the country. I was surprised to hear that. I cannot imagine.
Lizzy wants to her Diana to give Bubble company. Daddy, who hasn’t even met the cat wants to adopt because he can’t bear the idea of returning her to the breeder living in precarious conditions. Sofia who’s more rational, emotionally wants to adopt Diana because she LOVES all the cats in the world, but realistically wonder if we can handle 3 cats if they don’t get along. Me, I am torn and lean more toward not to but also feel sad for her. Oh well. will sit on it for a while.
Found a new book that I’m enjoying, already half way through. The Rachel Incidence. Have you read it?
