Workout report: -2 weeks

Taper really started, and on time, because I felt tired and low energy most of the week. Nothing particularly hurts but I felt 6/10 instead of 8/10 on a normal week. Oh well… trust the process. Everything that could be done to improve my fitness is done. The best I can do now is to rest and save energy for the race.

Monday: I did the workout instead of Tuesday as I had yearly check up scheduled. It was 4 times 5 min MP pace. Total 6.9 miles. It felt a good pace, not sure nor comfortable but a MP.

Tuesday: rest day. I got the result on body composition and blood tests in the evening and I’m very happy about them. I gained more muscles this year, and my low white blood count finally reverted to normal. Yay!

Wednesday: 6 miles easy and Slimfit.

Thursday: only Slimfit as Sofia wanted to go at 6am class, and my energy wasn’t high so didn’t run before hand. It was an intense triceps and core session. Both of us felt it the next day. I did my last session of physio. Felt good afterwards as if everything loosened up.

Friday: 6 miles easy, feeling more rested although with sore muscles. I decided to not do Slimfit until after the race.

Saturday: 6 miles easy. Trying different shoes to decide which one. I know.. I should have decided earlier but well i kind of like them all and find pros and cons from each… never too late. Massage in the evening felt great.

Sunday: 9 miles easy, although I inserted 1 mile MP pace feel at mile 7, turned out to be 8:48. Did 15 min stretching with Sofia.

I started writing down my packing list! This is getting real!

Total miles: 34 miles

Strength: twice.
