we had a very chill saturday and fun sunday, and lots of space to enjoy each other. After the test, Lizzy and I have 10 extra hours per week!
I made a new batch of bagels that turned out sooooo fat and puffy!

Sofia had it with avocado and with butter! Perfect chewiness without over powering sourness as I baked them the same day.

I love the tree in our house, so pretty the flowers. I enjoy watching it while floating on the pool with Lizzy

Sunday Lizzy had a playdate, Sofia had a birthday party, then in the afternoon I took 4 girls to the new trampolin park. While they played, I watched the Heart of the beast, what a movie, i wanted to cry the whole 100 min.

We end the playdate with ice cream while the two other girls argued about who they want to win the election. It’s so funny to listen to their arguments, which touch their bottomline. Who will be kicked out if either candidate wins. That’s real stake on the table. Fortunately we won’t be kicked out regardless of who wins. It’s a historical election, soooo close!
Other things that made me smile:
Morning greetings by Bubble. She always come to greet me when I go down.
Trying new recipe (curry noodles) with big audience as if I discovered the wheel. Lizzy friend asked me to send her mom the recipe before she left.
I also made a multigrain rice that turned out AMAZING with so many plants in it: brown rice, black rice, red lentils, buckwheat groat, pumpkin, green pea, and edamame. All dump to the japanese rice cooker and afer 90 min, the most delicious and filling bowl of carb and fiber.
Evening walks with Lizzy. Even if it’s 7pm and I’m on Pj and tired, if she wants to take a walk, I go with her.
Pool time with Lizzy and music.
Discovering new songs. Spotify is the best invention. It brings such joy to life, especially when my taste is similar to the girls so when I find a new one that I like, I want them to listen to it. More than half of the time, they like it too.
Listening to girls conversations before bed time, in my bed.
L: I am scared of the competition (right after I come back from NY). I have to do 50 m butterfly. I won’t be able to breath.
S: Well… it’s hard for everyone. Others just endure it.
L: But they are stronger.
S: No. They just dig deeper.
L: I am afraid I will die.
S: Don’t worry. There are lifeguards. They are paid to rescue you.
L: What are our household rules?
M: mmmm… I don’t know. Do we have one?
L: If you tell me to be kind (to Sofia). I’ll sleep in the car. If you tell me no sugar, I’ll go to Gaia’s house.
M: well…. if we need to have one would be WORK HARD.
M: We may go to buy a fan that is not so loud.
S: But we already have one.
M: Lizzy turns like a tomato after her piano class as the fan is too loud to keep on.
S: Well… she needs to adapt to it. what if global warming worsens and we need to live in warmer weather.
L: But we have AC.
S: Yes, but you need to learn to be uncomfortable. You can’t be comfortable all the time.
M: rolling my eyes…thinking inside… she figured it at 14?
This week will be short. I’ll work on Monday, off on Tuesday to celebrate anniversary with husband, work on Wednesday, and off to New York on Thursday. Super excited! I already packed the MUST bring things for the race: trash bags, throw away clothes! Best tips from the pro runner Catrina!
