  • Trip planning as stress relief. During my big meeting prep this week , I finished booking and planning our Argentina trip. I feel quite happy about it. The anticipation of a good vacation, carefully planned, hoping to surprise the family.
  • Hang out with my work boys. This week I came to Sau Paulo Tuesday afternoon. During most of meetings, I’m the only woman. I love my team, and hanging out with them after working hours have been great. Well… even during working hours as we went to explore Asian town and I got so many snacks and condiments. We also tried traditional handmade udon noodles and was so good.
  • Spontaneous calls with work friends. I get energized after talking to good colleagues that felt genuine friendship, with a level of understanding that my husband and friends outside of work can’t understand fully. This connection is special and fulfilling.
  • Tylor swift new album. It has been on repeat this week. My favorite album of her, not that I carefully listened them all. But this album is mellow and perfect chill music to unwind.
  • Writing this at the airport flying back to Brasilia, I’m trying get into the mental space of vacation, a good one that is about being in the nature, endure the physical motion of one foot in front of the other, with Sofia. I’m not there yet as I was just working 2 hrs earlier, but I’ll get there before I land.

  1. I saw that list and I was like “I might steal it!” Didn’t get to it yet but I think I will.

    it’s wonderful that you have such great colleagues, I love mine, too. Albeit some of them are needy and can be a distraction. But others keep me motivated and happy.

    where are you going? Are you only taking Sofia? Or everyone is going together? Looking forward to reading about it!

    Having great colleagues really makes work fun. It sounds like the new job is going well!
