Mid week random post

Every time I see someone waiting at the light stop selling snacks, I buy them. In a country that gets easy social assistance, the choice of running under the sun to make a living is admirable and should be supported.

Someone in the family is starting Ozempic! super low dose. Let’s see how it goes. I am just grateful to have access to health care and doctors that I can trust.

Sofia started 4 days of swim competition. It started yesterday although I thought it would start today so we had to rush to the venue. Sigh… sometimes I can’t hold all the balls.

Sharing a funny pic of Bubble being mad at the bath place. Look her eyes. Related to cat news, after several days of thinking about adopting a new cat, I finally reached out to the owner to see whether someone has adopted her. I was ready to get her mostly because I feel the urge to pay forward. We are all healthy and well, I could help a cat. But she got a new home so case closed. No more indecision. When I told Sofia about this she said: good, no more guilt.

What I learned through the process is that it was an emotional decision, not a rational one.

I love how our helper J takes care of our place. Look the bed she made for me.

Our new favorite song and video is sooo Brazilian although it’s Kpop.

I’m taking this supplement before sleep and I had the most consistent sleep and recovery this week.

How’s your week going? What’s your most listened song this week?

      1. Oh, husband! Why did I not think of that? I so hope it will help. And I’m very glad that you and your family have access to such good medical care at a reasonable price. Brasília sounds like a lovely place. I am really enjoying reading about your time there!

  1. Oh, and I loved your story about the street vendors trying to make a living selling snacks. It reminds me of a very personal talk that United States, Senator and war hero Tammy Duckworth talked about. When she was growing up the daughter of a veteran and a Thai immigrant, she said the whole family worked harder than they did in their whole life during those lean times. And to never ever think of people in poverty as lazy. Most of them are working all day seven days a week as hard as they can just trying to feed their families and survive. I would love to see her become president of the United States!

  2. Ha, the look on Bubble’s face… cats do not like baths. Glad that someone else adopted the other cat! Now you don’t have the stress and you don’t have to feel guilty (although I would have liked to see some new kitty photos- I guess that’s pretty selfish, since I would be watching from afar and wouldn’t be there if things went wrong).

  3. I very rarely listen to music. If I am by myself, I listen to podcasts. If I’m with the boys, we listen to music. Right now we are still on a Noah Kahan kick. We have short drives to school/activities typically so we can barely make it through a song. The song we’ve listened to lately is “Porch Light”. I did buy Sara Bareilles’ new album, though.
