We had a very hot weekend, so we mostly stayed indoor with AC (luxury!!!).
Saturday: after girls piano lessons Sofia went to a friend’s house for playdate. So it was just me and Lizzy. We spent the morning doing exam prep. Gosh… this is never ending but we’ve decided to take the exam this week so we don’t ned to keep spending weekends on this. No matter the outcome, we’ve tried.
Lizzy despite some complaining is dealing with this in a positive attitude, trying her best, and learning how to study.
Then we went out to explore a new shopping mall in Brasilia after lunch. It’s nicely designed as a park, but we both agreed that this doesn’t make sense in a heated area, we’d rather it to be covered with AC.

Sunday was another hot day. It is rare that there is AC in common area, only on bedrooms. So our living room was hot but it didn’t deter girls to hang out and play chess
Lizzy and I worked the whole day on exam prep, only taking 2 hours lunch break. By 5pm, we were both mentally done with it and decided to go to the pool. BUT the pool was as hot as bathtub water. Look Lizzy’s reaction
yet, we were determined to get in anyway.
we enjoyed those 45 min of chill time, chatting mostly. I really appreciate and enjoy those intimate moments with the girls, share whatever comes to our mind at the moment.
Girls enjoyed their netflix time. Sofia is watching gossip girl, OMG. I have started with American Hogwan and loving it so far and so happy that it’s a long book.
I am also glad to report that after Sunday’s 20 miler, I slept well and HR showed good recovery. Okay, gotta get back to exam prep with Lizzy, hope to finish before lunch so we can enjoy the afternoon. It’s children’s day in Brazil after all.
