Day 57: finding ways to record memory

The day started at 3am when Sofia came to my room with nose bleed again. Gosh!!! Can we get over it? Maybe because yesterday we didn’t do saline spray every 2 hours, nor drink enough? I don’t know. I ended up holding her nose for almost an hour before letting her back to sleep. I was so sleepy while so worried too. Couldn’t sleep longer so got up at 5:30am.

Today I heard about 1 second a day app and immediately download it. I find time passing too fast for me to catch girls growth, so this blog, the app, as well as a new idea about taking 1 picture per month in the same spot, can all help me to slowdown, capture, be present, and not regret in the future that I didn’t breath through them while I could. Family memories are the best kind, I often remind myself and being reminded by my boss, family is what it matters at the end of the day, so we should dedicate to enjoy while kids are small. I am trying…. really hard.

Now into some yummy food. Instead of taking frozen quinoa oatmeal combo that I usually eat, I made chocolate oatmeal with zucchini, topped with blueberries and peanut butter sauce. While it is good, it’s not as good nor as filling my usual quinoa oatmeal combo.

When they got up from nap, we watched Becoming. I watched 1/2 of it with them before I got a call from my best friend in Germany. Love the spontaneous chat. We don’t talk often but every time we talk it seems that time stopped between our chats. 🙂 I can’t wait to see her and the boys again.
