Husband and I woke up in the middle of the night. He woke up first and started to talk to me when I was still half asleep. Then we talked more about random things, and ended up discussion my work related frustration. He has a Master degree on economics, but never practiced it. I was frustrated about something and felt that people at work (except my team) just don’t get it. I told him my line of thoughts to reach my conclusion, and he “objectively” agreed. I know he was objective because in many others issues we disagree and he doesn’t hesitate to argue with me. We talked for probably two hours, Â I felt understood and validated.
We disagree in many things in life, but when it gets to bottom line of things, our core values, we are similar. The two hrs conversation in dark just reminded me of the reason I felt in love with him. 🙂
We both probably will need a nap today as we were up since 2am but I enjoyed the middle of the night talk A LOT.
One of the last week day family lunch pics because next week I’ll start going to office in the mornings!!! I’m super thrilled! I plan to go to office from 8-1 or 2pm, which means I won’t have lunch with the girls (12-12:45 lunch) break. Need to meal plan for real this weekend.
Finally… this pic of Lizzy so focused on her drawing just makes me smile. I also took a video of her and watched it 100 times already! 😀
Awww that’s so sweet. I’m glad you guys had a nice conversation. Sometimes those spontaneous ones are the best. One time this summer, my husband and I both woke up for some reason in the middle of the night. I have no idea why, since this never happens, but we couldn’t fall back to sleep. So we ended up deciding to just put on an episode of our show, in bed. It was raining and I just remember it being this kind of strange, special moment, to be snuggled up watching our show together at 3 am! Hahaha.
And that’s exciting that you’re going back to the office! I’ll be excited to hear how it all goes. After all this time, it may feel a bit strange for a while!
