5 on Friday: chinese new year week

This week went by quickly as girls have Thursday and Friday free from school and activities because of chinese new year.

Our building offers fortune cookies and lion dance! Girls love checking their fortune of the day

I workout with husband twice this week in the gym. Love his company.

We tried a new greek restaurant…. it was super good. Here’s the full family!

We visited the national monument, finally! It’s like the iconic thing to do in Jakarta but non locals would do? With the grandmas’ visit, we finally did it.

The girls are enjoying grandma’s company so much!!!

more celebration to come… which means more food and outing 🙂

  1. Wow! What an awesome picture of the girls at the pool!

I think I missed the fact your mother was coming to visit. Congrats – how fun.

And I LOVE that red and white skirt; it looks amazing on you.

  2. I forgot that you have visitors- it’s your mother AND mother in law, right?
Sounds like a fun week. Happy Chinese New Year!

  3. Awesome pictures! Love the one of you guys at the gym and at the national monument. So jealous of you wearing tank tops and sandals. Haha.

How long will you have visitors? Sounds great but I also know that having people in your house for a long time can be really stressful! At least for me, it totally throws off my normal routines and I struggle a lot with it. (Even though it’s overall a good thing…).

    1. My mother in law comes for 10 days, leaving next wed. My mom stays for 4 weeks. Overall I enjoy their company for the duration, and do my own things with little change to my routines. Both moms are super easy going, that really helps.

  4. Happy Lunar New Year! I am glad you are getting time with your mom and MIL and it’s great that they are easy to have around. That is not always the case! Can’t wait to hear how you celebrated!

  5. Happy Lunar New Year! How wonderful to have your mom and your MIL there to visit you, what a gift.

We live near San Francisco and rarely do the touristy things, unless someone is visiting. FUN though.
