Busy day & my dream business plan

Today we accomplished an important milestone of a project that I’m leading. It went well, smooth and efficient.

Just as I felt temporary relief of this one, I jumped right into the planning of two work trips. The rest of May and June before we go to the US is getting packed. But it’s better that way as I won’t have to change our summer plans nor to compromise with work delivery.

The day also started great with a workout run. I actually look forward to them now, excited about what pace my legs can deliver. I didn’t get to the pace in all laps, but I was pretty happy overall.

The app is getting better and better. I’m glad I signed up for the year plan.

Then I had my Slimfit session that I loved, so much work on my quads and hamstrings, as if it was designed for me. I never reached to this level of muscle engagement before.

If I have to invest in a business, I would have opened a Slimfit in Shanghai. Oh.. one day. The city/country needs few more years of maturity to receive my business proposal. 🙂

I love everything about this program: the effectiveness of the workouts, the kindness of the group and the instructors. It feels more than a fitness studio, more like a space for self care and friendship.

I came home rather late and realized there was no dinner plan. I quickly made rice in the rice cooker (fast cycle), and made a chicken curry with frozen vegetables, and cucumber salad. They were ready 1 min before the family arrived. Crisis reverted!

Tomorrow will be a more relaxing day, few meetings in the morning, and then take Sofia for dentist and go home early to pack for our swim competition trip with Lizzy.

Q: if you could have your own business, what would it be? I always thought I’d open a vegan cafe with books. Now I am more enthusiastic with opening a slim fit studio, building a nice community of mid-age women.

  1. Oooh! A vegan cafe with books! I don’t know though… I think the restaurant business is precarious and stressful. I like your Shanghai Slimfit idea! It sounds like a great experience for you (attending classes- not necessarily opening one yourself) and I’m glad you found it.

  2. I like your Slimfit Shanghai idea! I have zero desire to ever run a business. My parents ran a business when I was growing up and it was so stressful and demanding. I have taken more vacation in my life than they ever have or will honestly. It doesn’t have to be that way of course but it has such an impression on me that I wouldn’t want to run a business!
