Surprisingly good day

As I mentioned, I had to have one-on-one lunch with my manager who I don’t particularly like. The lunch went on for 2 hrs and it was surprisingly pleasant.

I managed to make two corn pies after work as we have a bake sale for charity at work on Thursday. I am excited for colleagues to try my dish. I also managed to convince the organizers to allow kids to go, so I am double excited to have Sofia and Lizzy selling the pie.

We arranged a night golf for this Friday with husband, my manager, and another colleague. Hope it will be fun. I am surprised that I am willing to see him in casual setting + willing to stay up late.

This Sunday, Sofia will do a swim competition with students from other schools in Jakarta. I am nervous and excited for her.

I am glad that I joined San’s NaBloPoMo 2023, it was really fun. As Jenny put it, I am sad and relieved too. December will be a busy month so I welcome the flexibility of posting when life allows.

  1. It’s always nice when things turn out better than expected! And what are these “corn pies?” I’ve never heard of this but they sound good. Enjoy your weekend!

  2. That’s good that the lunch went well! And also golfing with him! Wow. Well, maybe he will grow on you as you spend more time with him, 😉 Good luck to Sofia! Asher has a meet this weekend too- it’s a two day meet in Iowa, which is a 5 hour drive away! He leaves right after school tonight and they won’t get to the hotel until like 10 pm. The kids are going on a bus with the team and staying in a hotel for 2 nights- no parents along. They’ll race Saturday and Sunday. He’s excited mostly probably about being away from home just with his friends and coaches. haha.

Congrats on completing NaBloPoMo! I always like your short but sweet updates- always fun to read. 🙂
